What Members Thought
A compelling “locked-room” mystery, the clues flip perceptions back and forth and in unexpected directions as characters are introduced and potential motivations are revealed. It seems the characters are as much in the dark as the reader and we learn the depth of the plot along with them.
The writing was fine, but my interest ebbed in and out of the story. Maybe it was the audiobook narration that affected my interpretation of the story’s mood-I expected a bit darker of a story due to the promise of the premise.
I will admit that the sprayed edges of the physical book and the cover grabbed my attention-beautiful work on the part of the author and publisher.
