I really wanted to read this book before the movie comes out this year and I'm so glad I did. I loved this book! I'm super surprised that I loved this book, because I'm not really into sci-fi, but I have to admit all the sci-fi books I've read so far have been pretty fun. I could not put this book down. I imagined every scene as it was and played it in my head.. This was beautifully written with characters you could not help adoring. I can't wait to see the movie! I totally recommend this book. 😊

Love 80s nostalgia, especially video games? This is the book (and soon to be movie) is for you! Shall we play a game?
It was an enjoyable read with all the 80s name dropping and the universe building (universe within a universe) - pretty great stuff. I listened to the audiobook and it was amusing to hear the references to the reader and other authors. If you enjoy Cory Doctorow, this book may be up your alley too.
