I enjoyed this! It wasn’t as good as the second and third in the ACOTAR series, in my opinion, but I can’t wait to see what happens with these characters!

I absolutely love Nehemia and I hope her story is continued as well.

Throne of Glass is the first book in the series (the second series I've read by Sarah J. Maas). I'm enjoying this series.

This book felt more like a 4 for the larger half of it, but I feel like it probably deserves a 3 at best for seriously lacking in plot and storytelling. 2.5 stars.

Sarah J. Maas has a wonderfully descriptive language. I loved how she described the things in nature. This observation from the beginning reeled me in:

...she gaped at the bluish-gray sky, at the clouds slipping on their shoes and shuffling toward the horizon.

Unfortunately, in this story, characterization is not the author's strong suit. It seemed as though Celaena was a piecemeal patchwork of abilities and likes/dislikes that never formed into any sort of coherent personality. I had a

When you find yourself in a slump as far as what to read next, this is a good option, it is intriguing as far as the action goes, not too sure about the magical creatures and things, but maybe they have more relevance on the overall story. I love series so let's see where this one takes us. ...more

It was a page turner.....but it was reminiscent of a lot of fantasy books. I will finish the series though.
