This is the story of four best friends and their magical jeans. Lena, Bridget, Tibby, and Carmen have been BFF's since they were babies. They have spent every single summer together until this one. This time Lena goes off to Greece to visit her grandparents, Bridget heads to Baja for soccer, Carmen flies out to South Carolina to see her dad, and Tibby is left behind at home.

The girls in this series represent a nice wide variety of personal styles and show many different forms of friendship.
My mistake with this book is i had watched the movie before i had read the book so i think it caused some ideas of what the book was suppose to be like. Second I think I would have loved this book more if i would have read it when i was younger, for i could have better related to it. I plane on reading the others to see if i feel differently.
I really enjoyed this book. I found the separate story lines touching and engaging, the characters likeable and realistic and the connecting thread of pants unusual.
