I was initially put off by how thick the book is (and such tony font!) but it all came of no consequence once I got into the story. I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable the story is - I reckon it's like Jane Austen, just with a much darker, twisted plot! Think I may have found a new favourite author! ...more

This tale of the mysterious woman in white, and how she complicates the lives of virtually everyone she meets. The interesting part is from how many different perspectives the story is told.

I really liked this at the beginning but then it lost some steam for me and I just wanted it to be done. I'm still gathering thoughts but the first two that come to my head are that Laura is a total dimwit and I'm seriously contemplating writing some fanfiction where it turns out that Marion is really the mastermind because she wants Walter for herself. ...more
