This book was recommended to me by one of my GR friends (thanks Cam) and it was well worth it. Going back to my high school years, I remember loving an Aussie cop show called Blue Heelers. This drama series is set in a small town where everybody knows everybody. Highly recommend this book. If you don't mind some bad language and like a good crime mystery then you may like this book.

I loved this book. It isn't often I laugh out loud while reading. I thoroughly enjoyed the bone-dry humour of The Broken Shore. At the same time it is a good crime story.
