I think that the author depicted the willingness of a human to win and the hurdles and difficulties which one faces in one's life really well.

Why are people such ignorants of this book.... I mean sure its written plainly and sometimes it might get boring for some, but the message and the book as a whole is marvelous. It is not great because it changed the way Americans write(which it didn't) It is great because of the many conclusions and conceptions that one can draw from it....I guess its just sad to see such a good book being bashed like this

I read The Sun Also Rises in high school and hated it so I came into this book with some preconceived notions and yet I was moved! Despite myself! I'm a little annoyed honestly that I got so emotionally invested in this.
