This is a delightful book. I read it with my 15 year old daughter and it created a lot of discussion between us on a very wide range of subjects. From Middle Eatern politics, religion, parenting, and sex.

For both of us it highlighted how relationships with parents, relationships with friends, school and teachers, love, dreams, and hopes are important to everybody, no matter how seemingly different and 'other' another person is.

I really loved this book. Eye opening, entertaining, thought provoking. It is an extremely easy read for the topic. I didn't find the graphic art to be detracting from the subject but allowed other ideas to flow from imagery that words couldn't necessarily create.

I think anyone interested in history should give it a shot even if graphic novels aren't very appealing to you.
