3.5 stars. A really lovely young adult novel about Junior and his life on the rez in the Pacific Northwest. Junior is a boy who was born with water on the brain, and his best friend was born on the same day in the same hospital. In order for Junior to succeed, to not be left to die in an alcohol related incident, he realises at the age of 14 that he has to go to school off the rez.
