I very much enjoyed this short book. The narrator did a very nice job and having the chorus/maids passages read aloud worked great for the story and really highlighted the poetry of those passages. The story is told through chorus passages recited by the twelve maids that Odysseus ordered to be hanged when he returned from his odyssey and first-person narration by Penelope in Hades.

An interesting perspective of the Odyssey from the point of view of Penelope, waiting for Odysseus to return, and the consequences of what happened when he did return. It broadens the story, and adds depth with the symbolism of the twelve maids and is very readable as well.
This was an easy-to-read retelling of The Odyssey from Penelope's POV. Told in modern speech with some wit, it follows the life of Penelope as she waits for the return of Odysseus.
