So far this has been the most enjoyable of the series. Harry is ssssssllllooooowwwllyyy becoming someone who doesn't lead with is "staff".... BUT still has LONG LONG way to go from being a creep. I await the day where Mr. Butcher doesn't write Harry thinking something sexual or some thought on some woman's body. But I won't hold my breath, I like living. People can say but it's been awhile for him, I'm sorry when he was Susan he was just as bad.

I swear this series is just getting better and better. I also keep getting stuck waiting for the next audio book from the library as I NEED to hear James Marsters read this now. I cannot turn back to the hard copy book. He adds such an additional feel to the novel.

This seventh novel of The Dresden Files pits Harry against necromancers in the search for the Word of Kemmler-- whatever and wherever that may be.

I enjoyed this one, though I have to say it's getting harder to "review" these novels-- they're much alike. Harry is tasked with finding/solving/protecting multiple things... Harry gets into trouble while looking for clues/info... Harry kicks some ass... Harry has a near death OMGWTFBBQ experience... Harry ends up saving the day? in the end.

I am still enjoying my reread of this series. In this book we get to see Harry riding a Zombie version of Sue the Tyrannosaurus from Chicago's Field Museum into battle. This is one of the books in the series where there seems to be a lot going on rather than one focused mystery. It's purpose seemed to be to serve the larger plot arc of the series with the main story line as a vehicle to do so. I miss a lot of the supporting characters that are off scene in this one, but it was nice getting to kn ...more
