Read this while on holiday in Turkey, and it wasn't the right time or place. Obviously a good novel, but I couldn't get into it. I found the switches in time and person confusing, and annoying at times, just when I had got used to one set of characters. Left it with Intrepid for some more deserving reader.

Can't read historical fiction right now. I'll pick this one back up when I'm ready to read it and the sequel.
