I just listened to an Audible performance of the play. I read the play back in high school English, but hadn't remembered it much.
I would guess most people are familiar with the story. It is funny and silly and bizarre and absurd.

I can't believe I haven't read this before, ugh. I've heard of this play, of course, but I honestly didn't know anything about it before reading it, except that it was funny.
I would love to see this performed because, as amusing as it was to read, I feel like actually seeing it acted out would be even better and induce more laughs. That isn't to say that I didn't laugh while reading it, but I think there might be a few things that would have been funnier performed instead of read.
