Any book that can make me cry through the last 35-40 pages is a definite 5 star book and on my favorite shelf!
If there wasn't the unresolved issues of Shelby, who I really don't like, and what will happen with Olivia I probably wouldn't read the rest of the books since I was happy with the way it ended (view spoiler). But alas, I'll be reading them to see what will happen. ...more

Reading a book by Maggie Stiefvater is always an experience for me. The way Maggie uses her words is always lyricl and beautiful, and I find myself lost in the pictures she has created for me in my mind. This book was no exception.

The romance between Grace and Sam was sweet, but it developed too quickly in my opinion - though I still liked their relationship for the most part. I thought the ending was weird, and a little predictable, but I can't really explain more without spoiling the book.

So I had to deal with some inner turmoil when rating this book. On the one hand, I'm a sucker for teen romances just like half the nation. I like to be swept away by the innocent love stories that can only happen in fiction. They make me smile. These are the books I read on my phone at work because even if I'm interrupted a million times while reading them, I won't accidently rip said interrupters head off in the process because they said something at a really epic moment. The moments never real

I liked this book very much because I loved Sam's character. I loved how he looked after Grace after saving her and I loved reading about their romance because it always made me smile. I thought Grace was a great female protagonist and it was great to read her perspective as well as Sam's. I loved how Sam is a musician because I am too but that's not the point lol. I will probably read Linger but I'm not sure yet. Overall I really like this book.

Wow! I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. I wasn't really sure how I'd go with a story centered around werewolves, but as it turns out I loved it. Definitely a YA book with the teenage love theme, but doesn't everyone love to remember back to those early first moments of a new love? Can't wait to read what happens in the next books (and add to my shape-shifter target).
