Well, well, well! So it's OK for Eve to king-hit Roarke when she's upset with him, because she really loves him & thought he was being an arsehole.... now where have I heard that before? Just imagine the uproar if it had been the other way around. Such fuss & bother over very little, & surely Roarke should have been psychic enough to know what Eve was thinking about this old flame of his - she wouldn't discuss it, he just should have known. I don't believe he wouldn't have twigged what the hussy

I always enjoy J.D. Robb's Lieutenant Dallas and her husband Roarke, and by now there's not much new for me to say about them. There was an interesting challenge to their relationship in this one, caused by someone from Roarke's past life who suddenly reappeared. I really loved this one. I thought I knew who the killer was right away but then I thought, no way! But I was right and watching Eve get to that conclusion and prove it was awesome. I think she would have gotten to it sooner if it hand't been for her personal distractions. I ached for her when it came to that'd I hated the way that Roarke was acting. I'm glad he pulled his head out of his rear because he was losing some serious swooning points from me for the way he was acting.
