The fourth of the Sookie Stackhouse series and Harris just keeps getting better and improving on the story, characters and society that she has created. This story starts with Bill heading off to Peru and Eric turning up half naked with amnesia (oh how I love Eric with amnesia!!!), thus dragging Sookie into yet another underworld dispute, this time with a coven of evil shape shifting, V drinking witches intent on taking over Eric's businesses in Shreveport.

And another great book! This one makes a switch I didn't think I would like, but turns out I did! Just a new twist in this already exhilarating book! Sookie finds herself in a new and complicated situation, with Eric in need of her protection. Witches, faries, and panthers, oh my! ...more

I love Eric and Sookie so I was pleased that this book centred around them. Eric's memory loss makes him a nicer person and I felt sorry for him quite a bit, but I do prefer the real Eric. The story was quite fast paced and the ending especially was quite fun to read. Jason's part in this story was interesting and I am looking forward to finding out what happens to him in the next book. ...more

MINI SPOILER ALERT At the end, I was kinda hoping Sookie would confess to him that they'd had sex, explosive sex, with the hopes that they'd do it again, one last time for memory's sake (pun intended). ...more
