What Members Thought
It is some time since I read the other two books in this series, but the bleak and sinister rendering of Barcelona is unmistakable. This time I found the tale slow to start, but once underway it took off and kept up momentum until the tidy (but also clearly unfinished) ending. The tie-ins with the two previous books are clever, and Fermin's one-liners never fail to disappoint. I might have to go back and read "The Count of Monte Cristo", as the frequent references to that book escaped me.

The third book in the cemetary of Forgotten Books series. Not as great as the Shadow of the Wind but much better than Angels Game. Prisoner of heaven provides a link between the previous two books. This book delves into fermin's past as he is getting ready to marry and also contains more of David and bea's story.
