Wonderful ending. Very unexpected, yet... perfect.
I really loved this book. I can't believe it has taken me this long to read Edith Wharton. I'm so pleased that the Constant Reader group forced me to read this.
Although I had seen the movie years ago, it did not ruin the book at all for me.
