This is the first book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It's the story of Wrath and Beth. I know there are a million reviews of this one (so i won't bore you with another..lol) I just wanted to say....BUY IT, READ IT, and I guarantee you will LOVE it!!! What kind of three hundred year old vampire listens to Jay-z? Most people stop listening to that when they're about twelve.
There's an ancient order of vampire assassins in this book. They have the most rediculous names you can imagine.
It's worse than things like; raven, daimon,etc.
They're called Rhage, Thorment, Vishous, Zsadist(however that's supposed to be pronounced), the main character who's called Wrath(I swear) and oh,.. Darius.

I have finally read my first BDB book and, man, did it please me to bits! I hesitated starting this series because
1. I was intimidated that there were so many books in the series out already. Knowing myself as I do, if I pick up a series, I tend to consume it without coming up for air. It meant that I'd be devoting my time and emotions to the series without reading anything else. And I like my variety. I usually alternate genres or subjects to fairly divide my attention to the books in my TBR l ...more

I have a feeling that I'm going to like some of the other brothers' stories better; so, like all good judges, I'm leaving some room for speculation and improvement. Duh.
But nonetheless, I was enthralled by this story. I mean, what's not to like? Vampires? Good. Hot, unexpected, passionate love? Good. A battle, several centuries in the making? Good. Brotherhood of protective, loyal men in leather? Gooood.

Fantastic romance with an amazing world of vampires and their enemies mixed in with humans of all kinds. I was hooked from the get go!
