I honestly don't even know where to start. I haven't read a book with a rock star hero recently so I was really excited to read this.

This book was a complete roller-coaster of emotions for me. There were times that made me smile until my cheeks hurt and then others that made me want to cry... proper ugly cry! LOL.
When I was less than 10% in I was already squealing repeatedly like a complete moron, I knew then that I was going to love this book.

My first review was strangly deleted somehow, so this is my second shot. It has been a while since I read the book so my impressions is slightly deleyed compared to my first review so that might be worth remembering.

But this was a really GREAT read. The hero, Jake, is utterly delicious.

Looking for the book that is near perfect without a lot of editing issues and just keeps you so focused on what's happening in the book that you actually feel like a fly on that wall? Well, that's this book! Granted, there isn't a single thing in this world that is "perfect" but as far as grammar and punctuation, this book is spot-on with like than 2% issues. Can't beat that!

I loved this book. I really did. I loved this book. I really did. But to be truthful, towards the end, I found myself wanting to crawl through the pages of the story and slap Tru (Trudy Bennett) across the face and say, "Hello, here is your freakin' wake up call!" As for Jake, he is portrayed well with your above-average sex appeal of a rock star and the cover photo of this book does him no justice when I receive the character description by Samantha Towle, because my mind totally imagines this mouth-watering, panty dropping, sex God, wrapped in tattoos (which might I add is a weakness of mine). But still, Jake is just stunning and the love and great lengths he goes through just to display his love for Tru is amazing.

Please note, if you're worried about explicit language and sexual content. Don't fear. Yes, there are some curse words and yes, the F-bomb is dropped during some 'heated arguments' but I wouldn't say it is offensive in any sense. The usage goes well with the characters and the settings being portrayed. In fact, I would have been somewhat let down if there wasn't some language being tossed about carelessly. After all, we are talking about a world famous rock star as one of the main characters here. As for sexual content, yes, there was sex. Was it in your face sex? No. It was tactfully placed. Do I wish at certain times there would have been a more in-depth review of the sex acts taking place, well of course. But it wasn't a let down either. I guess in all, it was a happy-medium in the language and sexual content areas.

In all honesty, I really feel that Samantha Towle did a fantabulous (a mix between fantastic and fabulous) job is allowing the reader to really grow a connection to the two characters: Jake and Tru. Mrs. Towle was able to really display the perfect image for the definition of 'soul mate' and I was sad to see the book end. However, I was happy to have it end the way it did (sorry, no spoiler alerts here!) :)

So now the way for August 2013 begins so I can read the next installment to the Storm series with book #2 being Wethering The Storm by Samantha Towle. ...more

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! I loved it from the minute I started it. The one thing that drew me in right away is based on the back of the book )or the description listed above since I have a kindle there is no book back) we know the characters haven't seen each other in a long time and they reconnect. 4.5 stars! This book often reminded me a lot of other books I've read recently, mainly the Thoughtless series and parts of Love Unscripted. That bothered me, but halfway through it stood out on it's own. I fell in love with Jake, or at least in lust. He's super sexy and loves Tru completely. I love that they had so much history and were best friends. So many books have couples falling in love in a matter of days, so it always seems superficial, but not this book. Like some of the reviews. I too, had a problem with the main character already being in a relationship with one man and contemplating cheating on him. That is usually a big turn off for me. However, with that being said I did enjoy the book.

I would have liked more insight to what Jake was thinking.
