Still a good read. Just not as dynamic as the first book, imo. It felt a bit like a stepping stone to the next book. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole Morgan thing. I think Merit is getting crapped on all the time, by all her friends and family. Everyone expects so much from her, and she doesn't really have anyone to watch her back for her. I'm hoping that will change in forthcoming books. I listened to the audio of this book and the narrator is perfection for me.

Ok...so this is a solid 4 stars for me...for some reason though, the drama and action that sucked me into the first one didn't seem to appear until after the first half of the book. Don't get me wrong...i certainly enjoyed getting to live in Merit's world again and i still really like Chloe Neill's writing style...i wasn't bored per se..but the pace was just a little bit slower. Much like the last book, I have mixed feeling about Friday Night Bites. For the most part I liked it, but was able to keep putting it down to read something else. There was just something missing that kept me from truly enjoying the story and its' characters.
I think I'm in the minority here, but I don't like Ethan (please don't stone me lol). I don't hate him, but I can't stand him just the same. He treats Merit like a tool to be used to his best advantage, which I know is not unusual o ...more
