This was my first Abbi Glines book and I was pleasantly surprised, not really what I was expecting.

The book is about Blaire, a 19 year old girl from Alabama, who has spent the past years taking care of her sick mother. After her mother passes away, she finds herself broke, and with no relatives, with the exception of her estranged father. Phew! I finished this book a few weeks ago and I’m still reeling from it, my emotions are all over the place. I LOVED it, but it also broke my heart. Blair’s mother died and she goes to live with her father for the summer but he runs off for a vacation with his wife. When Blair arrives at her fathers lavish Florida beach house she has to deal with her arrogant drop dead gorgeous stepbrother Rush, who makes her sleep in a small room unde 5 GLORIOUS Stars!

Phew! I finished this book a few weeks ago and I’m still reeling from it, my emotions are all over the place. I LOVED it, but it also broke my heart. Blair’s mother died and she goes to live with her father for the summer but he runs off for a vacation with his wife. When Blair arrives at her fathers lavish Florida beach house she has to deal with her arrogant drop dead gorgeous stepbrother Rush, who makes her sleep in a small room under the stairs.

In the beginning I could not stand Rush or his annoying sister Nanette. Rush whom seems he can’t get enough sex and his total alpha male persona with an attitude. Nanette reminded me of those clique-y girls in high school that used to make fun of everyone else and define what was being a snob.” (I just wanted to backslap her)

Well, as I progressed further into the story, I started understanding things at least with Rush better. He had simply fell in love with Blair the first time he laid eyes on her, and that was forbidden.

Blair the ever-outspoken, gun-touting, bombshell can’t seem to keep her eyes off of Rush. They gradually begin to fall for each other and the chemistry between Rush and Blair is so HOT you could melt butter. Blair can’t seem to put together or get anyone to tell her this secret that seems to keeps swirling around, and then she finds out.

What would you do if you found out that everything you knew about your life was a lie and that everyone around you knows it but you?

You have to read the book to find out.

I was a little distraught at the ending - but only because it was such a cliffhanger. Although, after I put some thought to it and going back over the story again and again in mind, the ending was totally appropriate. Not all love stories end a happily ever after. I call that being REAL.

I was left speechless at the end. At least I do not have to wait for the sequel. It is already downloaded and waiting for me on my kindle. I was hooked from the beginning. I love all the characters. I felt a connection with Blaire and Rush and I loved the sexual tension between them. There was a twist at the end, that although I knew there was something, I didn't know what it was and was surprised. I can't wait to get started on the next book to see how Blaire and Rush's story ends. ...more
