I always underestimate how wonderful a YA book can be and a fantasy YA novel, if done right, has the chance to be spectacular.

General Review (No Spoilers)

I was a little unsure of this book before I started, it did look good so I went for it and I was so glad I did, it was amazing. The story flowed really well, was really enjoyable and had me wanting more. I really liked the characters and the storyline, I know I shouldn’t but I loved the Darkling. I cannot wait to read the second one.

I usually have a hard time with first books in a fantasy series, but I didn’t struggle with this one at all. It was a good pace and kept me reading. The characters are all very intriguing. I loved the story.
