I liked learning about Alice. She was sweet and innocent and the rest of her life changed because of that. You cannot blame a little girl for looking up to an intelligent, kind adult. Mr. Dodgson - if that part of the story is true - should have known better. However, I cannot turn my back on Mr. Dodgson for the following reasons:
1. The world may never know what truly happened between Alice and Mr. Dodgson.
2. Mr. Dodgson was a mathematician : )
3. Mr. Dodgson told good/interesting/funny stories

This was a very interesting historical fiction account about the girl who Alice in Wonderland is about. Although it was an interesting read at times it dragged on and seemed a slow read. The ending seemed abrupt and it was hard to keep track at what year it was. The chapters were long and seemed to contain a year's worth of information. It was shocking to me to know that Alice and the author were so close. However what a good legacy to leave your family.

This was a book club book and I thought it was very well written. It gave you a glimpse of the time period, which I found very interesting. The story itself was not bad but a little creepy. I enjoyed the second half more. All in all not a bad book.
