So, this book did not go quite where I expected it to go, in fact, there was a whole lot of WTF???? I guess I was expecting maybe a Mayan mummy-type creature, or perhaps some possessed-by-the-evil-ancient-priest sort of scenario, but I couldn't have been any further off track. If that's the kind of thing you're thinking this book is....it's not. And for the record, while I don't think I got hit over the head with the dunce stick as a kid, I must have been poked with one of the lesser dumb-twigs ...more

Is it a 3.5 star or is it a 4 star. I just don't know.


So I was a bit let down because honestly this book has NOTHING to do with Ruins. I thought it would be a fun exploration of some old site and the archeologist in me was THRILLED. So in that way it would be a 2/5 star, if that was what you were expecting and REALLY wanted. Now I can look past the lacking there of because
