The plot wasn't anything special and while the setting was unique it really didn't add to the story. This was a novel that could have taken place anywhere and it wouldn't have affected the story much.
The pacing was incredibly slow and just boring. There are sky pirates and somehow it still comes across as unexciting. Sky Pirates!
While it did have Steampunk elements it was more decorative than utilitarian. And while it has zombies, again they were more a setting element than a menace. Not spooky ...more
