Hard to rate this one- very good-Probably 3 3/4 stars if I could! I missed the interaction between Jane & Maura and Maura & Daniel, but still a good book with a different feel to me from her other books. The missing interaction was necessary due to the storyline, so I can forgive. ;) It also leaves you with somewhat of a cliffhanger about Maura and Daniel relationship!
Sou fã da Tess Gerritsen desde 'O Cirurgião', o 1º livro desta série, e ao 8º, ela continua a conseguir surpreender-me e ter uma história que prende do princípio ao fim que só dá vontade de não dormir para poder continuar a ler, uma história assustadora, enigmática, sangrenta, misteriosa, que me deixava com um certo receio de fechar os olhos e intrigadíssima com o que estava a ler porque não parava de pensar: mas como? porquê? quem?...

You have to feel sorry for poor Maura Isles. Yes, she's a brilliant pathologist but she can't pick a guy who won't hurt her.Maura goes to a medical conference and leaves her conflicted priest/lover at home. While she's at the conference she joins a former colleague and his friends on a side trip. We, as canny readers and jaded female grown-ups, know he's trouble as soon as he says, "Trust me."

Very good! suspenseful and action-packed!
This one had me on the edge of my seat and managed to surprise me with the denouement after clues led me to a different conclusion. Very well written and I love the characters of Rizzoli and Isles.
Another fantastic fast-paced thrilled from Tess Gerritsen. Definitely stayed up until the early morning hours reading this one because I just couldn't put it down!
