What Members Thought
I was almost too scared to start this book because I’ve heard so many scary reviews. It was daunting! Once I started, I felt like I was reading something completely different. I didn’t see any scary elements, and most of the actual action happens in Part Five and Six (about the last 80 pages). These two parts saved it for me, otherwise it was mostly a yawn.
“I want to scare you,” he said.

One of the best thrillers I’ve read so far this year.
After the death of his wife Tom and his son Jake move to a new house in a town where twenty years ago a killer known as “The Whisper Man” abudcted and killed five residents.
A new boy dissapears in a similar way, and it seems like the Whisper Man is back.
It got me hooked from the beginning, it was creepy, it gave me chills, it was fast-paced and kept me turning pages, it was a perfect psychological thriller.

I had heard such great things about The Whisper Man. I can honestly say it did not disappoint.
I enjoyed how the book had elements that felt paranormal, criminal and down right terrifying. A few times I felt I had everything figured out and I’d be thrown for a loop. While I expected to be a lot more jumpy and scared during this read, there were definitely times when I felt a light on at night was a good idea.
