I liked the audio version - the voice did the characters well.
Didn't think I would keep on with it, at first, but it did grab me soon enough that I was too far gone to look back.
The ending? I read on one of the group discussions that the 'why' of it ending that way was puzzling.

I just adore the way Rainbow Rowell writes! This story was very compelling and thoughful. I love her characters and how she writes them is one of the things that take her books from good to great! Eleanor and Park both came alive for me and I was sorry to say goodbye to them at the end of the novel. The story felt realistic to me and it resonated with me quite a bit. Rainbow Rowell obviously gets first love and is able to make it come alive in the pages of this novel in all its sweetness and awk

Story was a bit predictable but I cried at several points, read it in a half day, and there's something about Rainbow Rowell's style that just works for me. Hence, 4 stars, but I did consider giving it 3.

An enjoyable boy meets girl story. A boy and a a girl that aren't part of the norm for their high school. The boy has been accepted by hi peer group since he doesn't stand out - except for being 1/2 Korean in a mid-western town. In comes the girl who had been away from her family for a year since her mom's boyfriend had kicked her out. She dressed different, looked different, and stood out with her red hair.
