What Members Thought
This book was a decent light summer read. Yes, I teared up a couple of times when the story took an unabashed "tug-on-the-heart-strings" turn. It was enjoyable to have a story about the inter-connected-ness of a small town. Still, this was not high-hitting literature. It was written well enough, but the most memorable feature of the book is the bread recipe itself (yes, I'm gonna give it a whirl. You may start pitying my friends now, especially if it reaches mammoth proportions like in the book)

I am having such conflicting thoughts on this book and I really hope to write one of my sarcastic rants (think "The Ruins" or "Harper's Island", those of you who have seen my posts in various groups about the two) about some of the plot points. I almost laughed out loud a couple of times at the absurdity of a couple scenes.
