The Push is such an quick read. The chapters are very short and very easy to go through, so I'd say it's an ideal read.

Story-wise, I think it was predictable and while some very dark things happened, I would have liked it if it had more 'oomph' here and there. It reminded me of a few other horror movies about mothers being paranoid around evil children, but it felt more mundane and realistic (while still being very dark). Well that was a wild ride! If you are looking for your next feel good read, this is NOT it! The Push is a psychological thriller that will keep you guessing to the end. Did she? Didn't she? Although this book was fast-paced and interesting, the plot was a blatant rip-off of other books. I had hopes she would have done something else with the story, but I was very disappointed with this one.

I am not a huge fan of second person writing. This was a good story. But now as good as “We Need to Talk About Kevin” which haunts me, even years later
