Kim Kaso
I loved this book, I have read about the Nazi occupation of Guernsey, & watched a series about it, but the characters and the letters—plus books!—connected with me more deeply than prior books/shows did. All of the characters appealed to me, I cared deeply about them, and it has made me feel better in a time when the world is making me sad. I am not always a fan of the epistolary novel, but this one won me over. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed how the authors wrote this in the form of letters. I felt like I was getting to know all the characters along the way.

I liked the story, but really didn’t enjoy the format. It is written as if it is a collection of letters compiled in order to tell a story.
