I am surprised by how much I enjoyed this novel! It really spoke to me but perhaps that is because it has some parallels to my own relationship with my husband who I consider to be my soul mate. We have been in and out of each others lives since I was 14 but I always knew he was the one.

As someone who casually follows Jennifer Weiner (mostly for her hilarious Bachelor commentary), I was pulled out of the story a bit by how much of it seems to parallel her own life. I understand the idea of "write what you know", but with this book I knew enough to know there were similarities but not enough to know *how* similar, so I spent a lot of the book wondering about that instead of being engrossed in the story. I skimmed some of the reviews and I seem to be the only with this reaction??
