I picked this up at Goodwill yesterday and sat down and read it last night. It was an easy read, not many pages, but also not a lot of substance.
I've always liked Steve Martin, ever since watching SNL. (I was in high school when SNL debuted.) What I remember back during that time was a liked his silliness, but didn't find him extremely funny. An interesting autobiography, detailing the author's early childhood, and his rise to fame. I didn't realize how much time and effort, & trial and error he went through before becoming famous. Some fascinating anecdotes about his early gigs at the Troubadour, the Boarding House, and the Bird Cage at Knott's Berry Farm, as well as his first job hawking playbills at the newly opened Disneyland.
