A sweet read, I liked the characters and the town, especially once Maya appears. Books about book stores have an advantage with me, l am so happy in them. Books that reference other books are often favorites, as well. I really enjoyed it.

This was a nice, predictable, somewhat sappy little novel about a curmudgeonly book seller whose outlook on life takes a sharp turn after adopting a child abandoned in his store. Totally engaging story that nods to the bookish reader while dropping "next read" suggestions to folks who don't have a literary curator in their life. Highly suggest across the board. ...more

This book was a bit of a disappointment after reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by the same author. This one didn’t have characters I really loved. It felt like the story was rushed and not enough attention paid to making the reader feel invested in the lives of the characters.
