Russell asked me to share a review of this book. My wife and I both love the concept and story line. It is a charming book. The real test, however, was reading it to my five-year-old son. His response was, "I like it. I give it 11 points." Not totally sure his point scale, but 11 for him is pretty high. :)

Just read this book with my son. We enjoyed reading it together. The illustrations are fun, and so is the story. I like that there are various messages, sprinkled throughout, to discover and explore with kids.
The allure of materialism is an obvious theme. Then you have the children who deliver a deeper message. The thought provoking situations invite kids to think about what is best.
