This one took me a long time to read. It was easy to put down and I didn’t wonder what would happen next as I went about my day. And I’m not sure why, because this book was intense and interesting with the melodramatic feel of Rebecca or Jane Eyre. The writing was beautiful. It had a unique style of phrasing that probably reflects its Spanish origin.
