I have no idea why I had not written a review before now.. So here goes...
Lily is now 11 and has a special friend from her school in Perth, called Alby staying at their farm but their idyllic holiday is interrupted by enemies.
Alby goes with Jack and Lily on an epic adventure across the world to China, Egypt, Congo and South Africa. I loved his phone conversation with his mother!
The quest is not finished and the team is fragmented and suffering extreme sorrow..

Well, this was marginally better than the first book in the Jack West series. It didn't irritate me as much but maybe that's because I've become numb to the writing style. I still find it hard to believe that someone could "die" that many times only to return. The events in this book are also completely unbelievable, like the first book, but I continue to read because I have them and I like to pick holes in the storyline. My 7 year old son would probably love these books. Maybe I will give them
