What Members Thought
There were definitely parts I liked and parts I didn't like. I've read some other popular titles about Revolutionary War times (John Adams, 1776) and while I recognize that this historical fiction, I didn't find myself liking this one as well as the others. This was probably due to the fact that I didn't care for the portrayal of Martha. I liked her determination and devotion to George, but found her faults in parenting to be hard to take.
