Well The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a bit different than what I've read so far. There are ideas and strange ways of looking at life, disguised as jokes, which really captivated me. I hitched a ride with god and they told me he was an alien. Grab a towel it’s going to be necessary to use the most egregious things to collect mass / speed velocity to read hell, purgatory and vrindavan (we skip heaven, it’s for pussies)

Douglas Adams put stories together as if he used Mad Libs to construct them, but somehow always made them work out in the end. Fun and enjoyable, made even better by the voice of Stephen Fry on the audio versions. I like the Dirk Gently detective stories better and it’s too bad he wasn’t able to continue the series.
