What Members Thought
It took me a little while to get into this book. The (to me) highly scientific writing combined with Mark's wisecracking felt a bit at odds for a mission log, though I'm not sure I'd have gotten through 300+ pages of authentic NASA material in all fairness.
Once I got past that, the story became a marvel of human spirit and problem solving. Yes, it did become a little bit predictable that he'd survive, but then I'd already seen the film and knew that so I was more compelled to find out HOW.
