The mesmerizing writing kept drawing me in, even as I knew it could only end one way. Miller does well in conveying the senseless horror of a war driven by greed, ego, and vanity. All is lost in the end, and for what?

A thrilling and romantic story, the audio book was a delight l. Really makes mythology come alive
This started off feeling YA-y with a sheen of classicism giving it a more literary feel, but as Patroclus and Achilles grow, so does the book. I much prefer the Iliad part to the pre-Iliad part, which surprised, since it's such well-trodden ground.
