Finally a Dystopian trilogy that didn't fall flat. I really enjoyed watching Day adjust to his new life and struggle with his impending death. I was glad that June didn't ever really settle into life as a politician. I never thought that was right for her and I was glad to see she agreed. I was happy with how all the character's stories wrapped up, even Thomas. This book wasn't quite as suspenseful and action-packed as the other two, but Day and June were in different circumstances from the begi

Hell. Wow. That is how you end a series. I'm an utter mess. But it was so worth it.
So basically, there was never a dull moment. After Prodigy, I was already half done but after reading Champion, I was dead. The plot had so much. War, politics, romance, disease, air raids, bombs, making love (oh yes), etc. It continued Prodigy with the story of June as she struggles to be Anden's Princeps-Elect and advise him to best run the country; and of course Day, who has to come to terms with his illness a ...more

The saga of Day and June comes to a conclusion(ish) in Champion as the tension between the Colonies and the Republic turns into war. I'd lost the rhythm of the two main characters, and the book primarily keeps them separated from one another...so the romance vibe was a bit lost for me. There are more disease/plague/mutation issues in this one, and I honestly didn't grasp that bit. However, I really liked the view of Antarctica as a high-tech metropolis. I would happily read a book just about tha

A very satisfying ending to a great trilogy. I just love the two leads, June and Day, so much. Marie Lu's writing pulls you into the characters' emotional journeys in a real, exhilarating, moving way.

This was a great conclusion to the trilogy! Plenty of action and adventure and all the questions got answered. And I particularly liked the ending. This ended on a lot of hope.
4.5 stars. Great ending to the trilogy.
