Absolutely gorgeous writing, though I struggled with the plot.
I don't know why it took me so long to read this book. It is amazing. For a long time I thought it was a kid/teen lit book, but it's definitely a mature novel, complex and rich and full of magic. The story is clever and well constructed, not told in a traditional way, but through moments played our over the course of years.
