Simply put, a delightful and enchanting book! The characters, the situations, the plotting just make this a wonderful read. It kept me engaged. At times it was light as a feather, at other times things closed in around you with menace. But it came all together like a perfectly crafted souffle.
What a delight!

Not sure how his book got over 4 stars... We concluded in our book club that there were too many plots that never went anywhere and underdeveloped characters that made for an apathetic read. Wish the "duel" had been more exciting and the circus had been a little darker.
