Love the start to this series. Feels very future-The Bachelor.

i love that they are making both male leads desirable for the heroine. It's not so clear cut to root for one over the other, like it can be in other YA novels. Can't wait to see where this goes. ...more

I think I might be embarrassed to give such a high rating, but the book must have just come around at the right time for me. Kind of a guilty pleasure read, perhaps. Let's be frank: the world was not very well developed, with some arbitrary caste system, some obnoxious entitled girls, some annoying poor communication, and a lame cliffhanger ending. Nevertheless, I liked the protagonist and I'd like to know what happens next (PLEASE don't be a trilogy)!!

This type of book is not my typical cup of tea. I'm not a huge romance fan, but for a few reasons, I found this book keeping my interest. The Selection is the Bachelor mixed with some smatterings of the typical dystopian YA novel. I kind of got sucked into the relationship between America and Aspen. Then, I wanted to see what happens when other possible interests arise. So, basically, I found this to be just good fun for a quick read, not the best YA novel I've read, but it entertained my younge
