So, the other night one of my good friends lent me this book. I've been trying to pick it up at the library for--well, since it was released, and so I was thrilled to read it. It took me a couple of days to finally get to it, but when I did, I was up until 4:00 in the morning laughing out loud. Kiersten White has an amazing ability for character development. First impressions: I have to admit that with the number of people hoisting accolades upon Evie, I didn't want to like her. Or this book. Evie is like the super-popular girl at your new school that everyone says is so nice, but you don't believe them because anyone that popular, and pretty, and cool, cannot possibly also be nice.

But I can admit when I'm wrong. Evie is amazing.

Lasting impressions: The plot may be forgettable, but Evie and Reth and Lend are not. Or Lish. Or Raquel. Or David. Let' ...more

Pretty original. Paranormal Agency, sort of like an FBI, but not as strict. This story is about a girl of unknown origin who can see through paranormal glamours. Enter a guy she captured committing a crime. I'm rooting for them two, and he's so nice :) Good story! ...more
