Ending was disappointing, but it has been a good read. Slow but good. Unfortunately, not great. I will see how I feel about the series after it is done.

I feel like the main character is not very smart, she is being used as a pawn through the whole book, yet is too daft to see that. Then allows herself to be placed in a love triangle and struggles to make any meaningful decisions until it is too late she hurts another person. DUMB!
Finally she gets it together, but I seriously hated the way this

I enjoyed this book a lot, much more than the last series I read (The Uglies). The totalitarian government in this book is much more complex and interesting. Cassia is a good character, and Ky and Xander are both wonderful. It did have some flaws with the writing, some areas that I would consider to be plot holes, which I won't mention because of spoilers. It was also rather soapy--like "Dawson's Dystopian Creek." This is one of the many dystopian society books Ive read lately and I prefer this one over others. Ive never read the giver which I'm told this is very similar to. I thought it was very similar to another book I recently read for book club but hated the ending of the first book and never continued in the series. I will continue in this series. I like the neat and cleanness of it all and the pg romance level. It was a quick easy read and I'm curious to see how things works out. ...more

Another love triangle in future dystopian society. The society has conquered all major diseases and problems by "matching" teens for marriage partners hoping to create the perfect world but like all good plans, things go wrong in ways of the heart. I really enjoyed these strong characters especially Casia's bravery and inquisitiveness. On to next book!

Like another dystopian tale. Interesting, but slow paced.
