Ugh, why am I still reading the series??? I guess I have to finish. Friends and family, please don't read this, promise me! PROMISE!!!

So it is still getting better than the first one, or I am getting more used to horrible writing, which I hope is NOT the case, but whatevs. I was going to see the movie, I mean I hoped that the movie was good (which is to say the book was not, and the movie may be better than the book by enough of a margin to label it at least not sucky). Ok so if you are reading the series for the romance and because you just love jace or love teenage romance angst this books are for you. If you read mostly for the fantasy and action stop at book 3. Thats my opinion anyway. I'm getting so annoyed with , scratch that, I hate Clary. I hate her. Her mantra seems to be "I will do anything for my love no matter who or what I trample in the process because my feelings are all that matter." Even if it comes down to her family and friends who shes loved Ok so if you are reading the series for the romance and because you just love jace or love teenage romance angst this books are for you. If you read mostly for the fantasy and action stop at book 3. Thats my opinion anyway. I'm getting so annoyed with , scratch that, I hate Clary. I hate her. Her mantra seems to be "I will do anything for my love no matter who or what I trample in the process because my feelings are all that matter." Even if it comes down to her family and friends who shes loved forever dying, or the complete end of humanity she would still pick her less than six month boyfriend who hurt her and her family both physically, emptionally and and mentally. My boyfriend just held down the man who is most like a father to me while my brother stabs him and I'm still going to defend him because I love him. There love has turned into some twisted sick obsession. Jace realizes whats happening and plans on sacrificing himself to save the world and she stops him. She is not a heroine. She is the most selfish obnoxious person ever. It makes me sick. She is not brave either. She's reckless and immature. Im really hoping she dies before the series is out. And then the whole "I did something wrong so I'm going to treat the person I hurt horribly because I deserve it". Huh? So guy is there dying after being stabbed because of something you did but you can't tell him you're sorry or you love him because you deserve to be hurt? That's the stupidest logic I have ever had to possibly comprehend but apparently it's one most shadowhunters share, well at least jace and clary. She finally does what she needs to in the end but through the entire book I was wishing I could slap her. The writing is good and I love many of the other characters These last 2 books just took what I liked about jace and clary and their relationship. Since I've invested so much time in the series I will read the last one but I certainly don't have high hopes. The great story for me ended at book 3. O ya and there's more romance in this one than the others. ...more
