While I did enjoy "re-reading" this book as an audiobook, I still find I enjoy Catching Fire less than the first book in the series. Though the story expands on the history of Panem and its current social tensions, going through the arena is less exciting the second time around. Katniss and co. are still very fun to follow, and their stories do progress very fast especially toward the end of the novel. I thought that series started off very strong but got weaker with each subsequent book. You can tell Suzanne Collins was a script writer because her books make great movies but as far as her books go they lack a bit, in my opinion.
